Details about our sensor hardware and what makes it best-in-class.
Learn more about the hardware in your bin and why we are so confident in our data.
- Our sensor installs in 15 minutes (or less) with BinSentry’s patented zero-modification bracket, which is then placed inside the bin lid and secured on the lip of the feed bin hatch.
- The sensor is solar charged, which means it will continue to operate indefinitely in daylight. When there is no sunshine, rain or snow, it continues to run thanks to our battery backup.
- Our sensor connects to the LTE-M Cellular network. There is no need for a 'within range' hub with extra costs or additional connections to worry about. LTE-M offers better signal penetration which is perfect inside a bin.
- To tackle all the dust inside a bin, each sensor has a self cleaning wiper that cleans the lens of the camera every time before it captures an image
- BinSentry's 3D sensor uses machine vision technology, providing you with a 3D image of your feed level surface. The 3D Camera uses over 9000 data points per reading, this information is then sent to our software so you can easily access real-time sensor data. Scans are performed at 4 hour intervals.
