Standard bins are bins without a BinSentry sensor installed.
Setting up a standard bin
- Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking the "Bins" icon on the left menu and use the drop-down menu to select "Customer" or "Farm".
- Select the location where you would like to add a bin. Beside the View Barns link is 3 vertical dots, which will be additional options, choose Add Bin from the links.
- A pop up will appear with the bin path, and a line for you to add a Bin Name. Once you are done click "Save".
- The pop up will ask you to name the bin.
- Once the bin is named, you will be asked if you'd like to "Go to Bin" or "Create Another Bin". This helps if you have multiple bins to create in a barn.
- On the new bin, click on "View Bin". The bin page for Standard Bins allows you to set a Capacity, Daily Consumption Rate, and Add Manual Inventories.
- Click edit to update these details.
- Enter the Manufacturer Capacity including Bin Capacity and Units and click "Save".
- Enter a Current Consumption Rate and click "Save".
- Click the "Add Manual Inventory" link in the Bin Graph, enter the bin level amount along with the date inventory was taken and click "Save".
The bin graph will render based on the information that was provided and the standard bin is now ready!
Since you need to add inventories to standard bins, make use of our Notifications or Orders to ensure you're on top of things.
Standard bin levels are based on manual inventories and consumption and are not verified by BinSentry.
